🔒 How to create dependent ticket types

A dependent ticket type is a ticket type that is linked to another ticket type. This concept allows for more complex ticketing structures and pricing models by setting conditions that must be met for certain ticket types to be available.

Here's a simple scenario: you're organising a family event, and you want to ensure that Child tickets can only be issued if an Adult ticket is also included in the order. Here’s how you can set this up.

Setup

Step 1

Navigate to your event overview.

Step 2

Create the Adult ticket types.

Step 3

Create the Child ticket type.

Step 4

Click the "Advanced" tab.

Step 5

Lock the Child ticket type so that it becomes available for purchase only after at least 1 Adult ticket has been added to the basket.

Step 6

Save the ticket type.

Step 7

Check the result.
