💳 Is my country supported by Stripe?

Stripe supports over 135 currencies, but not all of them allow what Stripe refers to as "application fees".

At Tixtree, application fees are how we collect our service fee: a small amount deducted directly at the time of transaction. This is the foundation of our business model and how we continue to offer our platform.

Unfortunately, Stripe does not publish a complete list of countries where application fees are restricted. We're learning about these limitations on a case-by-case basis.

The only country officially documented is Brazil:

Platforms based outside of Brazil with Brazilian connected accounts can't collect application fees through Stripe due to Brazilian regulatory and compliance requirements.

We're currently aware of five countries where this limitation applies:

  • Brazil
  • Mexico
  • Malaysia
  • Thainland
  • India

For organizers in these regions, Stripe cannot be used to process payments through Tixtree. As an alternative, they can:

  • Accept payments via PayPal, or

  • Sell tickets using prepaid credits purchased in advance.

We're actively monitoring this and will update our documentation and platform as soon as new information becomes available.
